What's Up Wednesday.

Hump dayyyyyy.

Ashley, Katie and Shannon are debuting their new link up.. What's Up Wednesday.. this week..  I'm all about blogging prompts already spelled out for me.  So while I finish putting together the blog post detailing Grace's birthday party.. here's what's up with me.

What I loved about the past week...
If I say the food from last weekend. I sound fat.  So let's say the company.. Friday we had hibachi and while the service sucked, the food was amazing.  Saturday we had pulled pork sandwiches (courtesy of Nick and Abby) and macaroni and cheese while watching the UFC fight.  Sunday.. Sunday was a feast y'all.. we had bacon wrapped chicken cordon blue (probably not how you spelled it.. but my husband rocked it..), chips and dip, pigs in a blanket (Abby rocked that y'all..), fresh baked cookies and Patriots cupcakes.  The weekend was spent with Nick, Abby and baby Logan.. good company, good food, good weekend.

Also loved getting an e-mail saying Somewhere Over the Camo is on the 50 Beautiful Military Spouse Blogs list.  Considering who else is on the list.. I certainly feel honored.

What I'm looking forward to...
Finding out where we are off to next.  It will be bittersweet leaving Fort Gordon because this place has become my home.. but I'm ready to move again.  To a new house if nothing else.. we've lived here for almost 3 years.. and after one I was ready for a new space to decorate..

What I'm nervous about...
Grace not gaining enough weight.

What I've been daydreaming about...
The 2500 square foot 4 bedroom, 3 bath with a bonus room house Rob showed me at one of our potential future duty station.  So. Much. Space.  So. Much. Cleaning.  The space though...

What I'm craving...
A pedicure.

What I'm doing this weekend...
Throwing another baby shower!  This one is a tea party, because Rachel loves her some tea... everyone is wearing "tea" dresses and we are having finger food and what not.

What's new in the ____ area(s) of my life (work, school, family, projects, hobbies, fitness, food, spiritual, goals, or whatever!)...
Pretty open ended right there... I don't work or go to school.  My projects correlate with throwing parties.. which has become a hobby.  The fitness part of my life includes chasing my baby toddler and grocery shopping far too often.  I like food, so that last sentence should happen more.  Spiritually I can always try harder.. but I feel like we are on good terms.

But I do have a goal.

Rob mentioned the other day I don't talk much about him here on the blog these days.  I guess our little person has kind of taken over.  So my goal is to help my husband feel appreciated.  I'm quick tempered far too often and get frustrated easily when a long day spent entertaining the baby turns into a long evening of taking care of the baby, dog and husband.  I don't have enough hands and my to do list is never complete.. but I do have someone that loves me.  He deals with that temper and frustration.. while maybe not joyfully.. he does.. and I'm lucky to have him.  He works his butt off so that I can stay home and be a mom first and foremost.  He gave me Grace.  He said "I do" almost five years ago.. and he needs to feel how much I appreciate him for everything.

So that's my goal.

What's up with you this Wednesday?

always,
amanda

  4. Yay! So exciting that you're going to PCS. I'm sure that wherever you go you'll be able to make the most of it. That's a great goal to make your husband feel more appreciated. I actually think it's really sweet that he noticed his absence from your blog. It shows he care too! Love it. So cute.

Thanks for linking up with us today! I love new friends.

  10. I would LOVE that space too.

I wouldn't mind moving, but we'll probably be here for a tad longer.

  11. Haha Will would be devastated if I stopped talking about him on the blog, so I get it ;) I'm not looking forward to moving with an infant, but I'm going to start packing now. There is a slight chance we'd stay here, but I still feel like starting the purging/packing process is a better idea than waiting until I'm 9months and having to pack a whole house. Will also mentioned a bigger house when we move, but I said heck no. I don't want to pay more or have to clean more. We have PLENTY of space even with a baby.
