Brooklyn | Five months

I feel like because Brooke is probably our last... time is flying by as fast as possible.  Oh, you want to snuggle your sweet newborn longer?  Nope.  Sorry.. she's five months old.

She's awake more often than not.  Starting to get her boss on.  And about to start eating baby food.

Womp, womp, womp.  This hurts my heart.

Brooke's quirks this month...

.You are wearing size 3 diapers and 6 month clothing.

.You love your feet and are constantly folded like a pretzel with them in your mouth.

.You love Lamaze crinkle toys and are currently obsessed with the moose.

.You are still my chunk of love with the sweetest rolls ever.

.You are obsessed with daddy.  If he is in your viewing area you stare and smile constantly.

.You are still sleeping fairly good but have started waking up halfway through the night again to nurse and pass back out.

.You are ready for bed between 7 and 8.  Like clockwork.  You don't mess around either.

.You finally rolled over this month and now refuse to stay on your belly.

.You are still napping primarily in your swing.  Every once in awhile you nap in your crib.

.You are on your last month of sleeping in your rock and play.  After our road trip you will officially be transferred to your crib.

.You still have hair that sticks straight up, but the front is starting to lay down a bit.

.You still can't get enough of sitting up.  Ain't nobody got time to lay back.

.You are still easy going as all get out - and for that mama is thankful.

Mama is loving watching your sweet little personality come out and develop.  So many of your quirks remind me of your sister, but you are definitely your own little person and our family is better for you being in it.

  1. There is no way she can be five months already!?! She sure is a beautiful little baby. :)

  2. Noooo she was JUST BORN. I am in complete awe at how time seems to be going faster and faster these days!!

In other news, her hair, oh my word. I think there is a reason your babies didn't get your red hair. Because can you even imagine? Amazing hair like that AND your color? It would be more than the people could handle! I'm trying to picture what her hair looks like wet and can't. Reason tells me it probably doesn't defy gravity when wet but you really can't be too sure...

  3. Sweet girl! I can't believe she is 5 months already. Griff is our last too and I find myself having a hard time letting go of his baby-ness!
