Hey.. it's okay...

This list has been piling up for awhile now.. so this week I am going to link up to Airing My Dirty Laundry and share my hey, it's okay moments.

If hubs doesn't know how to always close the toilet lid or shut the bedroom/bathroom door.

If I think giveaways are annoying on blogs when you don't post anything else even remotely related to life and non-free stuff.  Maybe I'm the only one.. I've been known to remove blogs from my reading list because of obsessive giveaway, guest or sponsor posts.

If I think this graphic is awesome, informative and eye opening.

Costly Kids
On that note.. mad props to those of you that have children.  This speaks volumes to me and many other people I am sure too.

If my dogs need a blanket to nap on or against, always.

If I miss Kansas because all my friends are wearing hoodies and jeans, yet in silly Georgia it is still 80 degrees!

If I put my homework off all week and weekend.. and then spend all day Sunday shut in the office trying to get it all done.  You'd think I would learn.

If I still get frustrated that people harp on Jessica Simpson.. girl looks great, so hush it y'all.  She is still human even in the public eye and she popped out a pretty good sized baby.  She isn't going to just magically pop back folks.  Let's be real and quit putting unrealistic expectations on her.

If I pretend my puppy is a baby sometimes.

If sometimes we change our minds.. unless it is physically permanent, then it's never too late to really think things through.

Until next time..

Always,
Amanda

  1. I love the pictures that you used for your header!
That "costly kids" thing is insane! You don't really realize quite how much you spend on your kids when you have them. I know that kids are pretty costly, but dang that really puts it in perspective! Ouch! Haha :D
Our dogs have to have something to sleep on all the time too!

Stopping by from Hey, It's Okay ♥

  2. Love this! Yes kids are expensive and open the door to TONs of issues for couples, but I think they are pretty worth it :) (even when they have me pulling my hair out) I spent 5 years in college doing the same thing, I still do it....it never changes :)
I have to agree with you on the Jessica Simpson thing. We see too many super models going back to pre-baby weight in like 2 months and that is unrealistic, especially for us normal people. Those women have personal trainers and chefs and are able to work out like 5 hours a day. The rest of us get to lose the baby weight at the normal SLOW pace. I think she looks amazing and people just need to leave others alone, especailly about weight.

  4. Wow, that Costly Kids thing was interesting! I try to keep my sponsor and giveaway posts to weekends. I wouldn't want to do it every day.

  5. That is exactly why I never want kids. Or at least not for a long, long time. Just reading that has me running for the hills. haha

  6. The kids thing was interesting. I've also heard that the second one is cheaper? Reuse everything? Yes? Maybe? I dunno. I don't keep receipts on them. I like to think they're worth it. ;)

And omg, makes me so happy that I'm not famous when I consider how little I've lost since having Molly and (AND) what sorts of clothes I leave my house in. Lawwwwwwwd the tabloids would be giving me HELL if they cared who I was. LOL

  7. A lot of the things on that graphic are among some of the reasons I don't want to have kids.
