Hey it's okay...

...that the husband went back to work today.  Grace and I handled it like champs.  She slept almost all day and I varied between cleaning, cuddling and watching some of my favorite reality crap on the DVR.  After almost a month off, I think it was great for all of us to get some space and start settling into a new routine.

...to experience your first earthquake and aftershock at 23.  I live in the state of Georgia and can't say I really expected to feel a 4.1 magnitude earthquake Valentine's night... or any night while living in this state.  But I live roughly 40 minutes from the epicenter in Edgefield, South Carolina and while I didn't know what the rumbling was initially (I freaked out, can't help it)... I now know we experienced our first earthquake.  We being Grace and I.  (The 3.2 magnitude aftershock was felt heard Sunday afternoon.)

...to check that my sweet girls chest is rising and falling while she sleeps.  I'm sure that is a new mom thing.

...that I just finished the baby announcements... one week shy of her being here for one month.  I wanted to get them done sooner.. and while they still aren't "done".. they are closer.  Now to just print, address and mail.

...that the USPS raised the price of stamps to almost 50 cents.  Does anyone else find that absurd??!  I get you are broke... but whatevs... it's okay, I will forgive because I love mail.

...to wish I was in Kansas.  One of my best friends is about 5 weeks shy of her due date and bedridden.  I so wish I were closer so that I could keep her company.  Oh and then baby love could go over to Grandma and Grandpa's whenever.  The military life.

...to find it crazy to be raising a military child.  My sweet girl will experience more in her young life than most young children do.  For it she will be stronger and hopefully more confident in her life decisions.  I only hope I can instill in her all of the best values while still relocating every 3ish years, and spending time away from Daddy and the rest of family.

...to be kind of mad at DeVry.  I've waited for over six months for them to announce the summer graduation date in Atlanta (closest university).  Six months... you read that right.  I've never heard of a college not announcing graduation dates until February for a summer graduation.  Tonight I got the dates... it's at the end of July!  They've been telling me the end of June!  What the what DeVry... awesome.  Crossing fingers and toes my parents will be able to make it.

...that my ceiling fans are covered in dust.  I'm not sure how to reach the fans attached to the taller-than-average ceiling.  Could be interesting... also, how does dust attach itself to a moving object?  Those suckers have literally been going for months now.

...to have already bought the second pumpkin scented candle this season.  The first one is | -- | this close to being gone.  I love it. OKay?

...to swoon over my husband in his 3-piece suit.  He's a stud.

...that the first day after the end of every weekend is spent primarily on the couch and not cleaning or knocking off the to do list.

...that the company cancelled the ball for the SECOND time this year.. this time two weeks out and with tickets already sold.  I'm not really sure why they rescheduled it if they were just going to cancel it again.

...to have bought a $35 dress for said ball with no intentions of now returning it.  I'll keep that sucker since it was such a steal.

...to hate salt water.  But love beaches.

...to not particularly enjoy roadtrips that take 4.5 hours to get somewhere.. but only last for 24 hours.  Even if the result is totally worth it.

...to love hotel rooms that are on the ocean and only cost $65.

...to love weddings that include family members or close friends.  It truly makes a day extra special when it is someone you are close with that is getting hitched.  [[Congratulations to my cousin Jess!  While I will miss you being so close to me here in Augusta, I know you and Ryan are ready for the rest of your life... so cheers to that. [with apple juice of course]]]

Because I have a lot of thoughts that aren't really cohesive.. it's all going to be here.  In this post.  And hey... that's okay...

Hey, it's okay:

...that the sequester talk makes me really irritated.  When the rest of America can't do their job they get fired.  Why can't the government do theirs?  Republicans/Democrats/Middle of the liners... come on folks.  There is no reason why defense should be getting such huge cuts [let's set our Armed Forces up to be both unprepared and understaffed], why education should be experiencing money cuts and why countless other viable programs are losing out because of this issue.  Get. It. Together.

...that I'm excited for the month of March!  Not only do the days get longer with daylight savings time, but my sister is coming to see me, as well as one of my best friends!  Rob and I get to celebrate our third year of wedded bliss anniversary... and the month is packed with fun outings.

...that after 6 plus months of living in Georgia.. I finally have friends!  !!! !!!! !!!!!!! Yes, those extra exclamation points are needed folks.  This is the greatest news, ever.

...that my husband is ridiculously smart.  He's smart AND good looking.. I'm lucky! [how smart you ask?  He's working on his CCIE cert.. google it... he already has his CCNA and CCNP] [that was me bragging about my husband, fyi.]

...that the dogs keep getting fleas.  Actually, no it is not.  But it is okay because it is treatable and fixable.  I'm not sure if it is a Georgia thing or what... but since February they've had them several times.  Next step is treating our entire backyard.  Both dogs have been treated.. so now we kill the source.

...that I sing to my dogs while giving them flea baths.  Something along the lines of..."We are going to kill all those **beeping** little fleas".  It gives me great joy.  Hubs doesn't like it when I am singing at the top of my lungs at 6 in the morning about killing fleas though... [yes, giving my dogs baths at 6 AM is the perfect way to start our day... not. On the plus side they stand still and aren't butts.]

...that every time I look at pictures from Summer 2008 to Summer 2009 I want to go work out.  I miss that freshman year of college.  It was rather fun, yall.

...that I feel like I cleaned all weekend.. but only one room shows it.  Tomorrow.. tomorrow.. there is always tomorrow.

...that my new laptop has a weird touch pad.  Finally got my iPad replacement..a Google Chromebook and it has a weird touch pad deal.  Like legit weird.  I can't even explain how weird!

...that my third class I was so worried about in my last post is a complete and utter joke.  Writing resumes joke.  Easy peasy pumpkin cheesy.

...that some people I went to high school with are down right whack.  It's cool you did some soul searching and all.. but I'm not sure you are in fact the same person you were back then.  Just too strange.
