For the first time ever Rob and I can say we have lived somewhere together for a year.  Of course August 1st came and went with no fan fare.  I think about a week later is when it dawned on me... our house-iversary had passed.  If you are military you know this is HUGE!  Cause seriously June 2010 I moved to Maryland.  June 2011 we moved back to Kansas for Rob's deployment.  July 2012 we moved to Georgia [with that extra month being in an empty apartment we never really shared].  And believe me this house feels like a home.

Since this has been our first settled summer that didn't include packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking, re-settling... I've learned some things...

• I HATE bugs.  Which is unfortunate because Georgia seriously houses every single bug ever.  I've never had a problem with them before but seriously the bugs I have encountered this summer... over it.
• Pregnancy is infinitely times better when your best friend from home is going through the same thing as you!
• It is impossible to keep carpet clean with two rambunctious dogs.
• That genetic blood stuff I have confuses people.  Long story short I was told a few years ago that I would need to give myself blood thinners while pregnant.  Of course my OB and his team of doctors took a huge look at it all and it amounted to less than half of a percentage of a chance of getting a blood clot, so I [thankfully] opted out of the blood thinners.
• 90 degree weather is not too hot to break out the pumpkin scented candles.
• Even being a stay-at-home wife I've found myself plenty busy.. between doctors appointments, the Spouse's club I chair for and keeping up with the house I'm doing great!
• I've inherited another gene that I didn't know about.  I tested positive in my prenatal panels for the cystic fibrosis gene.  Luckily Rob isn't a carrier so it isn't a huge concern.
• 90 degree weather is TOO hot for good deer hunting for the husband.

So before I put any pictures up... I wanted to forewarn all of you all that I am not entirely done with this room.  But if I wait until I get it all done, then we will be PCS'ing and yeah no.

It's here, it's here, it's here!  The last room in our new house! The master bedroom! So before I put any pictures up... ...

Now that the lovely holidays are essentially wrapped up... We can hop back into the last two rooms on our house tour.  Better late than never right?  I mean we haven't lived here for almost 6 months or anything.


So if you ever feel like stopping through the area.. please let us know because we have a wonderful guest bedroom all prepared for visitors from near and far.  And it is just that.. a guest bedroom.  Nothing else.

That makes me excited.

Which just reiterates how old I am getting.

Shot glass collection. I've always had a hard time figuring out how to display them. Eventually I'd love some custom shelves for the dining room.

Another closet gem. Old Instagram picture here... Our old bed set is the guest bedroom set.  So I basically just transferred the decorations I had.  I'm still not sold on the wall art.  Or lack thereof.  I feel like the room is sort of empty and blah, which is probably why I feel these pictures do no justice.  Anyway when you first enter there is the wall.. which houses my bookshelf and all of my books, plus a few Army momentos.  The bed, nightstands and a dresser are the only furniture in the room.  On top of the dresser is my shot glass collection on a set of shelves.  I collect, in case you didn't notice.  Haha.  Obviously the picture frames still need filled.  We are out of ink though.. and I've been a bum about getting new ink.  So who knows how long they will sit empty.  This is also the only room with curtains since they transferred over as well.  Finally, my purses, luggage and all other bags are in this room as well.  My absolute favorite part of it just being Rob and I in a 3 bedroom house, is that the closets are free to do whatever with.  That makes a purse girl very very happy. And that's that. Nothing special.  I feel if we could paint the rooms I'd be so much more excited about showing off what we've come up with.  However, the yellow/beigey color that is throughout the house, just makes the pictures look dull and the rooms in general just look kind of lackluster. I'm thinking of AND READY for the future.. when we aren't renters, but owners! [Garage] [Laundry Room] [Entryway and Dining Room] [Living Room] [Kitchen] [Office] [Bathrooms] Be on the lookout for the final room.. the master bedroom.. sometime in the future.

Getting close to the end of our new house tour.  Yay!  Which also means I am "getting close" to being done decorating and what not.  Today I am bringing you two little rooms.. and saving two bedrooms for later.  Because.. well maybe... they aren't quite done yet.  My bad.


Today we are looking at the bathroomS.

Yes we have two, and yes I freaking love it.  Like for real.

First lets take a look at the guest bathroom.  Which is actually I think almost a bit bigger than the bathroom we had in our townhouse in Maryland.  Yeah, that's sad.

The blue rug is Klutch's sleeping area.. every once in awhile you will find him randomly curled up on it snoozing away. P.S. This picture makes that rug look off colored.. and I'm not sure why that is.. it isn't.. for the record.

Kind of an overall picture of the bathroom.. there are double vanities, a big tub, shower and separated toilet area with the closet at the end.

Eventually I hope to find an awesome steal of an elliptical somewhere.. It will go in here.. I even have a fan already set up!  Haha.. As for the decoration in this room... it's kind of a mash up.  There is my wall of mentionables (some family pictures, my "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore" sign [hollah Kansas girl over here!], Dean's list certificates, empty picture frames and a sombrero from a very fun Cinco De Mayo!) and Rob has his wall (certification certificates, Cowboys memorabilia, old license plates and a signed Kellie Pickler photo).  Other than that the only other decoration is the calendar above the computer.. not sure what else to do wallwise.. so I am probably just going to leave it.

Then we have the closet.. :) :) :)

Yes, feel free to swoon.  I have a whole closet devoted to office supplies, craft supplies, mailing supplies, extra hangers and other misc.  Hands down one of my favorite parts of having the extra rooms in this house.. extra closet space!

As for future plans for this room.. maybe a rug.  That's it. :) I am a okay with how it is now.  Except it could use a free standing heater as of late... brrrrrrrrr.

Can you believe that?

This is already shaping up to be a good month.  Got a full 8 hours of sleep because I went to bed at 11:30.  RECORD Y'ALL.  Rob got promotable status this morning at board.  Which is beyond exciting.. my husband has drive and I couldn't be more proud.  I'm ahead of schedule for my class this session so far.  And my classes last session.. A's again!  Dean's list here I come.. again.  :)  And we had our first Halloween in a neighborhood with children!  Two hours of trick'or'treating and 3 bags of candy later.. we are ready to look towards Thanksgiving!

We have tile look alike linoleum and counters that resemble granite but aren't.  A side by side fridge that we've never had!  Stainless steal appliances and a flat top stove.  A pantry and a breakfast nook.  Tons of storage.  And that awesome see through window to the living room.

Next step is to use the kitchen more myself rather than just clean it for the husband's use!

Hello November. Can you believe that? This is already shaping up to be a good month.  Got a full 8 hours of sleep because I went to bed...

Coat closet.

We have a coat closet.. that will probably never be used.  This is Georgia, so I am still skeptical on if coats and scarves will actually be used here.  We shall see.

Now on to the OTHER entryway.. the front door!  First off, can I say just how much I love our entryway?  It is brick and cozy.. and recessed so if you feel like being a little redneck when it storms, you can stand out front and watch!

Our "got dirt?" mat has been with us since our townhouse!  It was one of our first purchases towards the house!

Loving our wreath.. I found all the supplies needed at Walmart too!  Took a plain wreath they had out for fall.. wrapped it in twine, added some sunflowers by cutting them towards the top and stripping the wrapping off the wire.  Then I just poked the free wire through the wreath, painted a wood "G", wrapped twine around it and the wreath to secure it on.  Braided some stray twine for a hanger and wallah.. 4 supplies, no glue and a year round wreath.

Once inside you are greeted with hardwood floors!  This is the future home of the bench we are refinishing, some picture frames, a hook system and a vinyl decal.  But for now it is just an empty area.  Through the door on the right is the laundry room...

I already had the EST 2010 letters from the apartment.. spray painted letters from Hobby Lobby.  Just added some matching picture frames with an image of the house, and underneath the pink is the address associated.

Which the dogs love for stalking watching the neighbors.. and napping.

As of now this room is used for Klutch's kennel (the rest of it was being cleaned..) and possibly the future home of a either a pool table for Rob or a nice dining room table.  Not sure yet which... either way I don't mind the empty.

The entryway and the dining room are the only two rooms in the house with hardwood floors.  Which actually works out perfectly.  They are gorgeous.. the first time we have ever had them.  But I will admit they are harder to maintain with dogs.

So there you have it.. the first actual room of the house!
